Nettle Tea

Nettles are packed with vitamins and minerals, so having a cup or two of nettle tea means you do not have to rely on expensive supplements!

It also happens to be a natural diuretic. This means that it helps your body to pass water more quickly, helping to reduce water retention and that “bloated” feeling. For example, if you eat too much or drink too much and your stomach feels tight, a cup of nettle tea can help this feeling go away more quickly.  Clever isn't it.

I recently also found out that the sting in the stinging nettle is filled with a cocktail of formic acid, histamine, acetylcholine, and serotonin.   Well, what is seratonin for?   To be happy of course.

It also is known to have anti-inflammatory properties so will be invaluable to those suffering the inflammation that inevitably comes with Lupus.
