Hi

Its been a while since I have found time to write on the blog page!  Dinner Dance and two Weddings have taken all my time!

Glad to say that although times have been busy I have kept reasonably well throughout.  Having to take some herbal remedies but at least not any strong painkillers or such like!

I have been taking Turmeric and Frankincense capsules for a very painful inflammation in my arm and wrist.  Both of these are very effective against the inflammation and help to avoid taking painkillers.  By the way Frankinsence has a reputation for helping to revunenate mature skin.

Cant be a bad side effect can it?

Well, the weather has been atrocious and unfortunately I had grown lots of vegetables and herbs in a new poly tunnel.  The unfortunate part is that the zips broke within a day of purchase and the company has been promising a replacement cover for getting on for three months!!   In the mean time my herbs and veg have been ravaged by the wind!   I still have some herbs that I have managed to pot on.

The latest herb to be potted on is my sage.  Traditionally this herb is used to create gargles and mouthwashes as it is  antiseptic and bactericidal.

It can help reduce hig sugar levels in diabetes.

Sage, used as a rinse, is also  known to help allay greying of hair.

Due to its oestrogenic properties it helps during the menopause with hot flushes and the like.

For the aged it can help with memory problems and mental confusion and also helps if an elderly person is suffering headaches, anxiety or nervousness.

Have a look at this valuable herb on the internet if you can.  There are many more uses than I have given you here.

Having said all of this, it does need to be taken with caution and under direction.  It is contraindicated in pregnancy, epilepsy and cases of high blood pressure or the presence of blood in the urine.

Well I hope the weather improves for everyone soon!   Today looks rather promising.  Long may it continue!!  Bye for now.
